2018-2019 Blue Jay Athletes Honored
Congratulations to all of our Athletes for completing the 2019-2020 seasons. Among those honored were our Senior recipients:
- Monica McEvoy, 4 years Varsity Tennis, NJSIAA Scholar Athlete
- Alleyna Jean-Philippe, 4 years Varsity Soccer & Varsity Bowling, Passaic County Scholar Athlete
- Skylar Fusco, 4 years Varsity Cheerleading, NJIC Sportsmanship Award.
Softball Scores a First Round Victory at the Passaic County Tournament
This year saw our Blue Jay softball team's first entry in the Passaic County Tournament. We are pleased to report that the Blue Jays racked up a win (14-7) in their first round match up with Manchester Regional. The Blue Jays were eliminated in the next round, but not without first earning some valuable experience and exposure! Senior pitcher & four year varsity starter, Bryonna Richburg, was honored with a Second Team All-County bid and participated in the Passaic Bergen All-Star game on June 12th. Bryonna was one of a number of Mary Helpers mentioned by NJ.com in their NJISSA softball roundup.
Blue Jay Clinics to Begin Next Month
We are looking forward to our Athletic Summer Clinics starting in July. This year, there will be two weeks of Volleyball and one week each of Cheer, Basketball, Soccer, Softball and Lacrosse. The registration fee for each clinic is $40 ($80 for Volleyball), which includes a t-shirt if registered by the deadline. Late registrations are accepted, however each week is contingent upon enrollment, so don't wait to sign up if interested! Online registration and payment is available online. Please verify dates in the clinics schedule prior to registration.
Fall Tryouts Begin in August
