From food preservation and canning to fashion design, the arts play an important role in the education of the young women at MHC Academy.
Culinary Arts:
MHC Academy Culinary Arts students have been learning the basics of canning fresh fruits and vegetables this fall. By exploring, understanding, and enjoying the science of safe food preservation, students will discover the value of buying, cooking, and eating healthier. Future topics being taught will include the theories and methods of cooking, culinary vocabulary, and the development of safe and sanitary kitchen practices.
