Rohde Day of Service
On Monday, November 18, 2019, the students and staff at MHC Academy once again participated in the Roger Rohde Day of Service. Students assembled over 160 dried bean soup mixes to donate to Eva’s Village, a local food pantry, and Catholic Charities, Diocese of Paterson. The following Saturday, November 23, 2019, a small group of volunteers delivered the donations to the Fr. English Community Center (run by Catholic Charites) in Paterson, and stocked the shelves. Roger Rohde, who passed away in June 2017, was an incomparable friend to both the students of MHC Academy and to the Salesian Sisters. His generous spirit will continue to inspire many, and we are eternally grateful. We remember Mr. Rohde each year by perpetuating his spirit of generosity and giving.

Theology Class
Freshmen students created a timeline of events for Chapters 1-3 of Genesis. These chapters provide the foundation for future bible studies.
Don Bosco Oratory Night
On Thursday, November 14, 2019, MHC Academy hosted an Oratory Night. Students had the chance to experience Don Bosco's Oratory. They spent time praying in Adoration, playing games in the gym, eating together, and learning about our Patron Saint of the day.
November 21st Presentation of Mary
For the month of November students had a chance to write the names of friends or family members who have departed and place them in the student chapel. Those names were then presented in the offertory at Mass. Fr. John Nazzaro, SDB tied in the memory of our loved ones with the idea that God calls each of us to a special mission, just as Mary was called to be the Mother of God.
