As we move quickly through the month of November, our Fall sports teams have just about wrapped up, except for our Don Bosco Cheerleaders, that is. They will be cheering on the Ironmen as they continue through the Varsity Football playoffs. Our cheerleaders also joined the DBP Football Program, who for the first time ever, was featured on the “Red Zone Road Show” in early October.
It was a full Fall Season, not only for our teams but also for the program as a whole. On October 20th, the Athletic Department hosted its first Color Run on campus. Participants included current students, faculty, alumnae, family and friends. Together they really had a blast! It was a great event, which we hope to continue with in the future as an annual fundraiser to show our spirit!
Our Winter sports tryouts have begun as our athletes strive to make the Basketball, Bowling, Dance and MHCA's first ever Swim team! As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families, we will first celebrate with our Academy family at the Second Annual “Turkey Bowl” event this Saturday, November 17th. We are excited to hit the lanes with our competitive spirit and have some fun!
